Nestle have announced their Go Free campaign to encourage physical activity for children and families. They are giving away vouchers which can be used on various experiences. One of these is mountainboarding. The vouchers are available on Nestle cereals, Nestle confectionery, Herta frankfurters and Buxton water. The offer will run for three months and vouchers will be valid for one year.

Facebook is everywhere nowadays and so we figured it was about time we joined in. Our friends in Denver, CO have set up a Never Summer Facebook page and we have set up a page for MBS. Why not join us?
We have been taking photographs of mountainboarding for years. It seems a shame to keep all these photos and not share them. We will be gradually uploading as many as we can to our Flickr account.
For now I have added the West Wales bus jump photos, the trip to Cyprus and some kiting from 2006.
Jonny Beardsall of the Telegraph visited Bugsboarding Mountainboard Centre a few weeks ago and had a chat with AJ and a few of the riders. A photographer also came down to take some shots. You can read the full report online on the daily telegraph’s website.
The Fat Face Night Air event saw our MBS Pro Team rider Renny Myles take the title of World Champion. The event was unfortunately cut short due to the weather. We did our best, covering up the jumps with tarps but ultimately the rain was there to stay. Everything that could have been done was done, and the set up for the event was brilliant. Hopefully there will be a little more luck with the weather next time.
Other MBS winners included Jos Kirkman in the womens, Ben Rye in the under 18s and Mick Kirkman in the under 14s.

Last weekend’s Fat Face Night Air was a great opportunity for us to get together with some of our international guys and catch up. Diego Anderson from France showed us some newspaper clippings from France showing MBS riders and boards at the french championships in Loge des Garde.
On Monday the latest issue of german kite magazine Kite & Friends turned up. It featured a great write up of the Comp 90 and also the Pro 90. There are links to some scans of the pages below.
You can now watch our MBS Pro Kite Team in the third installment of KiteFreeStyle.com. The episode features their trip to the Mondial du Vent in Leucate, France. This one of the largest wind sports gatherings in the world and this year hosted a round of the PKRA meaning the worlds top kitesurfers were in town. The team got to hang out with the likes of Aaron Hadlow and show them how it is done on land.
The episode also features the team at UK events including Atmosphere 08 at Westward Ho! and BKSA Round 2 in Barrow in Furness.
Again MBS are involved with the Fat Face Night Air and this year it is taking place at Bugsboarding mountainboard centre . The Fat Face Night Air was one of the biggest events of 2007 and now its back. The date will be the 16th August.
The World Freestyle Championships will be the main event with riders flying in from as far as the US and Japan. There will also be a hire and ride running, catering, and a party hosted by Jagermeister.
This year the course has been custom built for the event. There are now three big jumps and a quarter pipe at the end. This will be the biggest mountain board competition ever.
Registration kicks off on Friday afternoon (15th Aug). Riders will then have plenty of time for practising, and other smaller competitions will run; giving the top riders time to prepare for the main event.
Qualifications will start about 4pm and run through till around 6pm at which time we’ll have whittled numbers down to a maximum of 50 riders who have made it through to the finals.
