2010 Never Summer Longboards In Stock

The all new 2010 Never Summer Longboard Range is now in stock. Many of the old classics are still around with new graphics (the best graphics yet we think!) and some new models too. The Rival is a completely new board. It is described as an old school pool board feel with new school technology. The range is now maturing and getting more and more established. We have released some videos of the 2010 longboards on the blog too.

Never Summer Test Centre in France

Since January of this year snowboarders riding in the massive French Portes Du Soleil area can try out this seasons Never Summer boards as Alpine Retreat in Chatel has recently become the first French test centre for the brand.

Alpine Retreat specialises in organising freestyle camps and all mountain snowboard holidays during the season through their ‘The Rider Social’ weeks. The mountain is truly the best place to discover what a Never Summer snowboard can really do so drop them a line if you in the area and find out for yourself.

Transworld Business – Never Summer Factory Tour

Never Summer are possibly the World’s largest independent snowboard manufacturer. They operate out of their Denver, CO factory and do everything inhouse. They have a different ethos to most brands and believe in craftsmanship over marketing hype. Never Summer’s marketing is famously low key but the company have still enjoyed steady growth for 19 years now. Transworld Business have had the opportunity to visit tour the NS factory and get to see how it all happens as well as talking to some key members of staff.

Never Summer Snowboards demo tour

We will be hitting the road demoing Never Summer Snowboards 09/10 range. We will be hitting most of the domes around the UK in November giving everyone the chance to have a go on the boards in real snow and talk to us about them. We will try to bring as many boards as possible including the always popular SL and Evo! See you on the snow in November!

The new range of snowboards are now in stock and at all the shops. Pop down to your local snowboard shop to have a look and let us know what you think! If your local does not stock Never Summer then ask them to give us a call asap! The lumo green bases are back along with some really great designs. The rocker tech which did so well last year is back and has now been rolled out across the range to every board except the Titan.

Never Summer Assault

Never Summer really impressed us when they started doing longboards. Year on year they have been adding to the range and keep getting better and better. For 09/10 there are two new additions: the Assault and the Tyrant.

The Assault
This is the most fun board we have built to date. Ideal for around town or campus. We added extra fiberglass in the kick-tail to keep it functional while maintaining a softer flex in the platform of the board for a nice ride. Using 150mm trucks and our 72mm/78a wheels gives you plenty of grip and forgiveness riding over cracks and rocks but the Assault is also extremely agile. Truly the best of both worlds!

The Tyrant
The Tyrant features a unique rocker design. This design lowers your center of gravity to improve stability, increase foot hold and allow for easier pushing. Great to cruise around town but if you want to bomb a hill, it has more than enough to handle it. Low, stable and fast! We use Paris 180mm trucks and our 77mm/77a Inferno wheel for added performance.

09/10 Never Summer Snowboards now online!

We will be getting delivery of our 09/10 Snowboards in the next few days. The boards are now online and ready for pre order. For this year the rocker and camber technology which was so popular last year has been rolled out to every board except the Titan and Titan TX. The System has been replaced by the Circuit too. The Infinity which was rockered in the US last year but not in Europe, is finally here in full rocker. The girls will have to wait no longer.

Icelantic, Liberty and Never Summer at The Snow Centre

This Saturday the 6th of June we will be demoing at the official opening of the Hemel Hempstead Snow Centre. We will be taking demo skis from Icelantic and Liberty as well as Never Summer Snowboards. This is our first demo with the 09/10 season equipment. The Snow Centre should be an amazing venue as it is so new and the snow quality is said to be the best in the country. Can’t wait to see if that is true or not. It will be very strange going back to indoor snow after spending time in the mountains.

Other brands will also be providing demo kit making the evening quite an event! We will be there from 4pm till 9pm.

Never Summer TV Episode 1 – Tour of the Never Summer Factory

This is the first episode of Never Summer’s new TV show produced in collaboration with Clvr.tv. The first episode features a guided tour of the Never Summer factory in Denver, Colorado. Jeremy and Tristan walk us through how the boards are made, the craftsmanship involved and why Never Summer can so confidently offer an industry leading three year warranty.
