The LA times released an article on longboarding today. It is pretty interesting and well written. Obviously LA and the UK are pretty different, but the article makes some great points, is well written, and talks about longboarding very favourably. It is in the health section which is a nice change from the skater punk image the industry is more used to.

Longboarding is a great form of exercise and with the cost of fuel, it is so much cheaper than driving for short distances. The biggest factor favouring longboarding is how accessible it is for people of all ages and abilities. It is a lot of fun too!

As many of you know already Never Summer have introduced the Rocker and Camber technology to a number of their boards. The Infinity was one of those, but unfortunately it will only be available as a RC board in the US. The rest of the world will have a non RC version of the Infinity as originally designed and advertised in the trade catalogues.

The Infinity is still a very desireable board in terms of performance, quality and looks. It is a high performance women’s board with the same design features as the SL, but narrower, softer and lighter making it that much better for women. It is the best women’s all mountain freestyle snowboard money can buy.

On the weekend of October the 4th and 5th we will be attending the Sno!Show in Milton Keynes, organised by SNO!Zone. This will give us a chance to show off the new Never Summer snowboard range, and the much anticipated Rockered Camber technology. Our team riders Callum Wilkin, Sunny Elmore, and Lannig Canu, will also be there.

All new from Never Summer Industries for the 2008-09 lineup. This Patent Pending technology is set to lead the way in snowboard development. After extensive testing it has been introduced on 4 boards from the range. the SL, Legacy, Evo, and Revolver

Rockered Camber consists of two cambered areas from the feet out towards the tip and the tail and rockered underfoot. This provides the rider with improved response, power, pop and stability.

Vario Power Grip Side-cut is a new and improved side cut features a deep and a shallow radius in order to improve response and edge hold. Another bonus from this new technology is a little weight saving (just under 1/2 a pound).

Never Summer have decided to use this technology on their SL, Legacy, Evo, and Revolver. The boards featuring this will have an R appended to their names so for example the Evo is now the Evo-R.

The 08/09 range will be delivered in early September. There is still time to place an order.
