[...] This in depth article looks at the relaunch of the plastic cruiser and how it may be the item which saves retailers this summer. They are cool and practical, and come at a price that is easy to handle! Sure this rain is not helping, but eitherway – that gives skaters more time to spend in stores and online.
Hey James,

You are in the right place. I will try and answer some of your questions here. If you have any more questions do not hesitate to contact me by email.

1) What is the wind range? As you know already from your experience that will depend on the size of the kite as well as what type of kite it is. The kitesurfing kites we offer are the Pulse 2, Pyscho 4 and Speed 2. They all have very different flying characteristics and excel in different areas. 5-20mph is a pretty big wind range to cover. At the extreme low end the Speed 2 Deluxe edition is by far the best option. Depending on your size, and your board size, I would say 19m or 15m. These are big kites however and can be a handful at the upper end of their range.

2) We will have demo kites very soon. We are based near Gloucester and Bristol is only an hour away. Demoing should not be a problem - just keep in touch.

3) Flysurfer kites vary in costs from £610 (4m Outlaw) to £2000 (19m Speed 2 Deluxe).

As I said already, contact me using the form online if you have any more questions.

Hi,

I recently saw an advert in a kite mag advertsing Flysurfer DELUXE kites and had a few questions. I contacted the company (German e-mail) and they have suggested I get in contact with you. So here goes. I have been kite surfing for about 5 years now and have always wondered how the non-inflateable kites work in terms of their water relaunch ability. If I have wiped out and the kite has fallen in front of a wave do they not just fold up and fill with water? Other questions?

1. What's the wind range of the kites? I guess it's the same concept with inflateable kites - the bigger the kite the lighter the wind capability? I aim to use the kite for lighter conditions so could you give me an idea of what size kite I would need to cover 5mph - 20 mph? Would one kite do this?

2. Is there any chance of testing one of the kites. I am based in Bristol. You don't see many of these around so being able to try one out gets around the risks of buying something that you don't see out there very often.

3. Finally, costs? Can you indicate how much the kites cost.

Many thanks,

James
