Mountainboarding and Maxtrack go back a long way. After seeing the concept being demonstrated by MBS at Surf Expo in the early 90s Ian then decided to take on UK distribution for MBS. It took a lot of demonstrating and time to bring a new sport into the market but attention built gradually and more and more participants started turning up at events.
MBS Mountainboards have since grown to become the World’s leading mountainboard brand. The products have come a long way from the original frame boards. Maxtrack have grown to take on the distribution for the whole of Europe.
Mountainboarding itself has matured with events happening all over the world, lots of talented riders, lots of media crews creating fresh video and photo content regularly, and perhaps most importantly, mountainboard centres – who provide instruction to newcomers into the sport and a safe and fun place to learn.
